Dinkum Assorted
Written by Linda Aronson, Directed by Joy Sweeney
By arrangement with Curtis Brown
16 April to 8 May 2010
It is wartime – 1942 Australia – and two thousand US airmen have just been stationed outside the tiny country town of Warrabadanga. How the women of the local biscuit factory cope with the Yanks, the factory closure and the War, whilst fighting for national and personal freedom, is told in a delightful way by Australian playwright Linda Aronson. Filed with wonderful warm characters, comedy, song and dance, the delightful Dinkum Assorted will give you some food for thought as well as some delicious belly laughs and toe-tapping moments.
