Water Biscuits Section
Joan – 35 – Intense but charming
Connie – 60 – Sour, officious, from the North of England
Millie – 25/30 – Newly widowed
Grace – 50 – Hefty, Forewoman of Water Biscuits
Vi – 17 – Stagestruck. Grace’s niece (singer/tap dancer)
Rosie – 17 – Vi’s best friend (singer/mover)
Florrie – 70 – Matter of fact and self assured
Little Beat – 30+ – Smaller than Big Beat
Ethel – 40+ – Perennial victim, but no fool

Creamy Biscuits Section
Pearl – 40-50 – Hard-baked, Forewoman of Creamy Biscuits
Glad – 20/35 – Pregnant, a good singer
Big Beat – 35+ – Tall & hefty. Lifelong friend of Little Beat
Doris – 30+ – Friend of Edie’s
Edie – 30+ – Friend of Doris
Margie – Any age – A pianist (no dialogue)

Audition Details.
The play is set in Australia in 1942.
The audition piece will be reading from the play.
Singing auditions are required for the roles of Vi, Rosie and Glad. A simple and appropriate song from the era.  You can bring sheet music or sing accapella. A dance audition may also be required for the role of Vi, to be taught on the day.
